NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who represents parts of the Bronx and Queens, spoke about the "unsustainable brutality of an economy that rewards explosive inequalities of wealth" during her remarks at the Democratic National Convention Tuesday night.
AOC praised Sen. Bernie Sanders for supporting "guaranteed health care, higher education, living wages and labor rights for all people," adding that Sanders' movement would "repair the wounds of racial injustice, colonization, misogyny and homophobia."
"At a time when millions of people in us are looking for solutions to these crises," she said. "I hereby second the nomination for Bernard Sanders for president of the United States."
