NEW YORK (1010 WINS) —Police in the Bronx are looking for a man who broke into an apartment near Johnson Avenue and West 236th Street in Riverdale Friday night.
When the burglar broke in, police say, a baby was sleeping, but the burglar was scared away when he heard the baby’s father in the living room and left empty-handed.
They say he then went to the apartment of a 28-year-old woman, forced open a fire window, and stole jewelry, a bicycle and a backpack.
The suspect is described as male, last seen wearing a dark-colored knit cap, a gray hooded sweater and a dark-colored coat, with a dark-colored backpack.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
