COZUMEL, Mexico (1010 WINS) – Two Carnival cruise ships collided at the port in Cozumel, Mexico, on Friday—a powerful collision caught on camera.
The dramatic accident left at least one person injured and damaged the Carnival ships involved, Carnival Legend and Carnival Glory.
"Carnival Glory was maneuvering to dock when it made contact with Carnival Legend which was already alongside," a Carnival spokesperson told NBC News. "We are assessing the damage but there are no issues that impact the seaworthiness of either ship."
Videos of the collision show one cruise ship slowly slamming into the other, shattering glass and bending steel on the stern of the second ship.
One person reportedly suffered a minor injury during an evacuation.
