NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Gov. Andrew Cuomo released a new coronavirus PSA on Thursday aimed at young people.
The 30-second video features audio of young people dismissing the seriousness of the virus.
"COVID won't kill me," several people say to the backdrop of hospital scenes and headlines describing a toll of young victims.
"Famous last words. Don't let them be yours," a narrator says as the ad ends.
Cuomo tweeted the video Thursday, along with the message: "Young people can & have died from COVID. Many more will have lasting health issues. If you treat COVID lightly, you may not live to regret it."
