NEWARK, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Authorities say a dog attacked a man outside of a Newark grocery store, before running down the block and biting three kids.
Police got a call about a German Shepherd running loose near Luis Munoz Marin Middle School around 8 a.m.
The dog was spotted running around in a McDonald's parking lot.
"Me and my little brother walked to McDonald's and I see, I hear people screaming. I looked out the McDonald's window and I saw the old man getting attacked by the dog," Jason said.
Sanitation worker Al Miller jumped off of his truck to help.
"Everything that was coming close to him, he just kept on grabbing and biting," he said.

At some point the dog got into a grocery store and sent customers scrambling through the aisles.
Witnesses say the dog appeared to be playing with the children before biting them.
The victims suffered non-life threatening wounds.
The dog was eventually caught and was with its owner at the scene, police told NBC 4. The owner is reportedly the owner of a nearby car dealership. A witness said the dog ran out of a gate near the dealership before the attack.
