BAHAMAS (1010 WINS) – Video from the Bahamas shows just how powerful Hurricane Dorian is, with terrifying storm surge and fierce winds.

The video posted to Twitter on Sunday afternoon shows water inundating the streets of Abaco, one of the many islands that makes up the country.

“Yall pray fa Abaco.. cause Dorian has arrived,” the video’s caption reads.

Hurricane Dorian made landfall in the Bahamas Sunday afternoon as a Category 5 storm with sustained winds of 185 mph and wind gusts of up to 220 mph.

It’s the strongest hurricane to hit the Bahamas in modern times.

Other videos show overturned cars, seriously damaged buildings and yards littered with debris.
