NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 23-year-old woman was found dead near a Bronx beach on Monday morning, the NYPD said.
Officers from the 45th Precinct found Elijah Williams, 23, of Manhattan, unconscious and unresponsive in the sand at Orchard Beach Road and Park Drive, just steps from Orchard Beach, around 6 a.m. on Monday, police said.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene, the NYPD said.
The city’s Medical Examiner will determine how she died, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
