NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman sitting in a Brooklyn nail salon was shot in the leg on Friday police said.
The incident occurred around noon inside a nail salon located on 2588 Pitkin Avenue in East New York.
According to police, a 68-year-old woman was shot in the right ankle as a result of gunfire from a group on the corner of Milford Street.
The group fled in an unknown direction, officials said.
The woman was taken to Brookdale University Hospital in stable condition.
No arrests have been made at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
