NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- WWE Superstar Sgt. Slaughter may be 70 years old, but that hasn't stopped his desire to lace em up again.
"A lot of times I get tweets, and it'll say, who would you like to wrestle on today's rosters," Slaughter told 1010 WINS.
"After I put a few like Seth Rollins and AJ Styles, and names like that, I always throw in Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. I would love to work in a ring and work a match with them. I just think it would incredible."
The WWE Hall of Famer stopped by WINS to discuss Wrestlemania Axxess, which takes at Brooklyn Pier 12, Thursday April 4 to Monday, April 8.
"You can get autographs, and there'll be a lot of signings, photo ops, live matches, memorabilia," Slaughter said.
"It's just a fun time. We get to go there and just kind of let our shoulders down a little bit, and rub shoulders, put the cobra clutch or put the slaughter hug on a few people here and there. We have a lot of fun with it."
And while Sgt. Slaughter may have officially retired the cobra clutch in the ring, that hasn't stopped fans from asking for a firsthand demonstration.
"Probably 9 out of 10 want to be put in the cobra clutch", Slaughter joked." When I do a lot of appearances such as the Axxess, I'll ask, do you want a cobra clutch? And they'll go, oh yeah."
The week-long Axxess experience leads up to Wrestlemania on April 7th at MetLife Stadium. One of the big storylines heading into the main event revolves around Flair, Lynch, and Ronda Rousey. The three have been building a storyline that seems to be headed for a title match in April.
