NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Barack Obama released his annual “Summer Playlist” on Saturday, featuring an eclectic mix of tunes for the season.
The former president tweeted 38 songs he’s been listening to, with a little something for everyone.
The list includes everything from Silk Sonic’s “Leave The Door Open” to H.E.R.’s “Find A Way,” Bob Dylan’s “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight” and the Rolling Stones’ “Tumbling Dice.” Bob Marley, George Harrison, Rihanna, SZA and Drake also make an appearance.
“With so many folks getting together with family and friends, there’s a lot to celebrate this summer,” Obama tweeted. “Here’s a playlist of songs I’ve been listening to lately—it's a mix of old and new, household names and emerging artists, and a whole lot in between.”
Obama started the tradition of releasing playlists during his presidency, and it has developed quite a following over the years.
Just on Friday, he released his “Summer Reading List” for 2021.
