DETROIT (WWJ) -- Fans of Eminem who went to the grand opening of his new walk-up eatery Mom's Spaghetti in his hometown of Detroit on Wednesday got a huge surprise -- the rapper was there taking customers' orders.

A line stretched for blocks, with some Eminem superfans travelling from New York to try the pasta.

Still, some may not have been quite as shocked to see The Real Slim Shady appear at the takeout window, as he has hosted a few “Mom’s Spaghetti” pop-ups in the past.

To create the restaurant — which gets its name from a lyric in the rapper’s 2002 song “Lose Yourself” — Eminem partnered with Detroit restaurant group Union Joints, which helped him put on the previous Mom's Spaghetti pop-ups.

Mom’s Spaghetti is available with or without meatballs, and even has a vegan meatball option. Patrons can also grab a “s'ghetti sandwich” and some Eminem swag at an in-house shop.
