Fetty Wap's younger brother dies in New Jersey shooting

PATERSON, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Rapper Fetty Wap is mourning the loss of his younger brother, who was shot and killed in New Jersey last week.

After announcing the death of his sibling on Instagram Friday, the rapper posted another tribute in an Instagram story on Sunday.


"Love you Twy ... Really Missin you kidd but I see you brought the sun out today ima pour sum up for you today," he wrote.

Twyshon Depew, 26, was shot on Lawrence Street in Paterson around 9 p.m. Thursday, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.

Depew died at St. Joseph's University Medical Center two hours later, authorities said.

In an Instagram post Friday, the Paterson-born rapper wrote in part: "I love you lil bro my twin ... R.I.P … I failed you bro I'm sorry."

An investigation into the deadly shooting is ongoing.
