NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Larry King has been hospitalized with COVID-19 according to multiple reports.
The legendary, Brooklyn-born talk show host is at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles battling the virus, a source close to King's family told ABC News.
"Larry has fought so many health issues in the last few years and he is fighting this one hard too, he's a champ," the source said.
CNN also confirmed his hospitalization, citing a source close to the family who said King's three sons have been unable to visit him because of hospital protocols.
King, 87, has been ill for 10 days, according to Roger Friedman’s Showbiz 411, which first reported on the diagnosis.
King’s age and poor health put him at an elevated risk from the virus. He has diabetes and had a heart attack, stroke and cancer in the past.
King tragically lost two of his adult children about three weeks apart last summer. His son Andy died of a heart attack and his daughter Chaia died of lung cancer.
1010 WINS has reached out to King's representatives for comment.
