NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Pete Davidson was in one hell of a bloody mess Tuesday in New Jersey.

No, he wasn't defending himself from attacks from Kanye West over his relationship with Kim Kardashian -- he was in Denville in Morris County filming the horror movie "The Home," directed and written by fellow Staten Islander James DeMonaco.

In the film, which doesn't have a release date yet, Davidson plays Max, "who realizes that the residents and caretakers at the retirement home he started working at hide sinister secrets," according to its IMDB description.

In a series of photos from the set, Davidson, 28, is wearing an all-white ensemble and is covered in fake blood. In some of the pics, presumably shot in between takes, he's holding a cigarette.

"The Home" marks Davidson's foray into the horror genre. His other films include Judd Apatow's "The King of Staten Island" and Hulu's "Big Time Adolescence."
