Page Six reported that the "SNL" star is “in talks” to host the 94th Academy Awards, going live from Hollywood on March 27, with nominations coming out Feb. 8.

“His people are talking to producers,” sources told the oulet.

ABC Entertainment’s president said Tuesday that the show would have a host for the first time since 2018, when Jimmy Kimmel led the show.

Last year’s installment, which was held later in the year than usual and had a bit less star power due to the pandemic, drew an all-time low 10.4 million viewers. By comparison, the last hosted show in 2018 drew 26.5 million.

Davidson has been leading the youth movement for some big television moments. He hosted NBC’s New Year’s show from Miami alongside Miley Cyrus.

“He is in a good space, his career is doing well and he is on the rise. He is a sex symbol, unlikely, but he is big with a certain generation,” the source told Page Six.
