Not half bad! Max launches 50% discount for college students

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Attention cash-strapped college students! HBO is cutting your worries in half with its new plan.

A 50% discount will now be offered to college students, cutting the usual $9.99 per month subscription fee for Max with ads to $4.99 per month.

The deal, thanks to a partnership with UNiDAYS and Max, will last for 12-months after signing up. Students’ status can then be re-verified after the limited time period as well

Students will need to confirm their college status using UNiDAYS, then will receive a discount code to activate Max.

Being a college student can difficult financially, navigating a balance with work, school and social life so, Jon Hawley, CEO and co-founder of UNiDAYS, believes this opportunity makes these students lives a bit easier.
