VIDEO: 'SNL' spoofs Andrew, Chris Cuomo during cold-open

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — "Saturday Night Live" poked fun at "unemployed brothers," former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and ex-CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, after the show returned from a two-week break Saturday night.

Spoofed by Andrew Dismukes and Pete Davidson, playing Chris and Andrew, respectively, the pair joined Kate Mckinnon, who played Dr. Anthony Fauci, during the show's cold-open, sharing "Fauci's Holiday Message."

"Hello, I am disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo," Davidson said.

"I'm disgraced former CNN host Chris Cuomo," Dismukes added.

"We both lost our jobs cause of COVID," Davidson chimed in.

McKinnon, as Fauci, used "CDC actors" to reenact different scenarios Americans could face this holiday season and encouraged shots and boosters with the spread of the omicron variant.

"The most important thing is to get vaccinated. And if you're vaccinated get boosted," she said. "And if you're boosted, maybe you want a little top off, maybe a little splash."

'SNL' also mocked GOP Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, while cast member Aidy Bryant portrayed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

"I was the one not wearing a mask at Bob Dole's funeral...imagine him looking down at his own funeral and the only face you can see is mine," Bryant added.

Singer-songwriter Billie Ellish, 19, doubled as host and musical guest for the first time.
