
HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A crash involving a semi-truck on a New Jersey highway left one person dead early Saturday, police said.

The semi-truck crashed into a pickup truck while it was on the shoulder on Route 29 in Hamilton County around 12:45 a.m., authorities said.
A Freightliner M2 traveling south hit a Chevrolet GMT-400 as it sat on the right shoulder, killing the driver. The Chevrolet caught fire and became fully engulfed after the impact, officials said.
The identity of the driver has not yet been released.
The semi-truck driver was not injured as a result of the collision.
Two lanes of Route 29 were closed for about seven hours after the deadly accident but have since reopened.
Police are still investigating the incident.
