TRENTON, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Two people were shot while inside an SUV early Sunday in Trenton, authorities said.
One was shot in the head and the other in the arm.
Trenton Police learned via the ShotSpotter gunfire detection system that multiple rounds were fired near Phillips and New York avenues shortly after 4 a.m., Mercer County Prosecutor's Office official Kathleen Petrucci told NJ.com.
Petrucci said that four people were inside the car when it was fired on.
The victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Additional information about their conditions and potential suspects was not immediately available.
