Surveillance video shows the thieves smashing the plate glass window of Golden Square Jewelry on South Broadway near Hudson Street around 5:20 p.m. and running off with armfuls of jewelry.

The four men fled in an SUV and led police on a brief car chase before crashing on Marshall Road and fleeing on foot, authorities said.

Police arrested two of the men almost immediately, and officers found another hiding in a wooded area off the Saw Mill River Parkway.

The fourth man is still at large. Police say they identified him but have not yet announced his name.

Authorities charged Nyken Alston, 21, and Alfred Long, 35, with robbery, grand larceny and burglary. Alexander Wilson, 21, was hospitalized with injuries from the car crash and has not yet been charged.
