NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Three people remain at large after a masked home invasion in New Jersey, according to the Wall Township Police Department.

The break-in occurred around 4:44 a.m. Monday. Police responded to a call about a burglary in progress at a residence on Baileys Corner Road in Wall Township.

The caller reported that three individuals forcibly entered the home and then fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle heading west on Allaire Road, police said. Officers later spotted a blue Nissan Altima with dark tinted windows traveling westbound on Allaire Road.

As the vehicle entered the traffic circle at Highway 34 and continued north on the Garden State Parkway, officers attempted a traffic stop.

The driver of the suspect vehicle refused to stop and fled northbound on the Garden State Parkway. The pursuit was ultimately terminated due to safety concerns, police said.

Officers spoke with the homeowner, who said the suspects broke into the home by forcing open a rear window. Once inside, they stole car keys from a counter. However, they were unable to take the car before the homeowner contacted police.

Home surveillance footage confirmed the victim's account.

An investigation is ongoing. Police believe the suspects were in the area before the robbery.

Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Wall Township Police Department at (732) 449-4500.
