GLEN COVE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Three people were shot during a pool party at an upscale hotel mansion on Long Island's Gold Coast Sunday evening.

All three victims are expected to survive following the shooting just after 5:30 p.m. at the century-old Mansion at Glen Cove, police said.
The luxury hotel was hosting the “Big Fendi Celebrity Pool Party” at the time of the shooting. There were about 200 people in attendance.
A “disturbance” led to a security guard and two partygoers being shot in the front entrance of the hotel, according to police.
“A security guard tried to involve himself and tried to stop the fight, then shots rang out,” Glen Cove police Lt. John Nagle said.
The victims were taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooter fled the scene before police arrived. No weapon was recovered.
“This wasn’t something we ever expect,” Glen Cove Mayor Pamela Panzenbeck told Newsday. “We go to high school reunions, weddings and fundraisers and all kinds of things here.”
“These were not Glen Cove people that were here today, so we have to look into how they got here and how this happened,” the mayor said, adding that “there will be no permits issued for anything like this in the future.”
Glen Cove police said an investigation is ongoing. They’re urging anyone with information to call them at 516-676-1000.
