NEW YORK (1010 WINS/ WCBS 880 NEWS) – Four teens were arrested on Long Island after robbing two men on Thursday while driving a stolen car, police said.

The first robbery took place at 4:45 a.m. at Conoco Gas Station on Hempstead Avenue in Hempstead while a 30-year-old man was refueling his car.

Three 15-year-old boys and a 14-year-old in a black stolen KIA pulled up next to the victim.

They got out of the car and one of them showed something that seemed to be a gun, but was later discovered to be an airsoft gun, police said. The victim handed over about $300 to the suspect.

Shortly after, the same group pulled up next to an 18-year-old on Westminster Road, near Hempstead Turnpike.

They again used the same tactic and stole the victim's iPhone and headphones.

The KIA was spotted by police in Elmont.

The driver did not stop when police tried to stop the car, resulting in a chase. The suspects  then crashed into a parked car on Lucille Avenue. All four tried to run off on foot but were caught by police.

The driver and two of the 15-year-olds  were taken into custody while the 14-year-old was hospitalized for assessment.

The four are charged with two counts of robbery, unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of stolen property.
