NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Authorities canceled an AMBER Alert for a 2-year-old New Jersey boy after the child was located and his father taken into custody—but the boy’s mother remains missing.

Sebastian Rios was found safe and unharmed in Monterey, Tennessee, early Saturday after he and his mother, 24-year-old Yasmine Uyar, were allegedly abducted by his father, Tyler Rios, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Rios, 27, was arrested without incident in Tennessee. He remains in custody in Tennessee pending his extradition back to New Jersey.

Uyar remained missing Saturday, and the car authorities said Rios was driving has yet to be found.

“While we are relieved that Sebastian Rios has been found safe and that Tyler Rios is in custody, we are still urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of Yasmine Uyar to come forward and tell us what they know, even anonymously,” Acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay Ruotolo said Saturday.

The AMBER Alert was issued Friday afternoon after Sebastian Rios didn’t show up for daycare and his mother didn’t arrive for scheduled work shifts. A welfare check was conducted on Uyar's home by members of the Rahway Police Department Friday morning, but no one was found inside.
