NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Long Island homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 58-year-old man whose body was found floating off of Jones Beach Sunday morning.
Police were called to the west end area of Jones Beach around 6:17 a.m. with reports of a body floating in the water, authorities said.
The victim was pulled out from the water but was unconscious and not breathing, officials said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's 25-foot boat was recovered three quarters of a mile east from where his body was found.
