LACEY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- An 89-year-old man's body was found floating in a harbor behind a Jersey Shore home on Tuesday afternoon, Lacey Township Police Capt. Paul Sullivan Jr. said.
Just before 1:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a body floating in the water behind a home located on Laurel Boulevard in the Lanoka Harbor section of Lacey Township.
Officers located the body and pulled it out of the water, police said.
The man was identified as Robert Mcelvaney, also of Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor and he was pronounced dead on the scene, officials said.
The incident remains under investigation.
Mcelvaney's death does not appear to be suspicious, police said.
