Video: Bourbon Street gathering cleared by NOPD

When the Mayor says no large gatherings she means it!

Video attained by sister-station B97-FM shows New Orleans Police involved in an operation Saturday night to break up a St. Patrick's Day gathering:

The gathering event caught the attention of the Mayor as well:

WWL-TV reports NOPD moved into the immediate area of the gathering and shut down Bourbon, touted as the 'street that never sleeps'.  

Visitors, partiers, and witnesses showed their disapproval on both sides of the issue on social media.  

As a reminder:  today's Super Sunday, Mardi Gras Indian event is also canceled.
