Boy, 12, shot in CT after striking car with snowball

HARTFORD, Conn. (1010 WINS) — Police are investigating after a 12-year-old boy was shot in Connecticut Wednesday night for throwing snowballs at cars, authorities said.

According to police, at around 7 p.m., the 12-year-old and an 11-year-old boy were playing with snow and throwing snowballs at cars in the area of Capitol Avenue and Park Terrace when they struck a car.

The driver of the car then circled the block, chased the kids, and someone in the vehicle shot at the boys, cops said.

The 12-year-old was transported to Connecticut Children’s for non-life-threatening injuries. The other boy was not injured
