JERSEY CITY, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Police are investigating after an 8-year-old boy shot a 12-year-old inside a Jersey City apartment early Friday morning.
According to police reports, at about 2:30 a.m., the 8-year-old boy retrieved a handgun from inside the apartment located at 25 Sal-Laf Court and let off a round, striking the 12-year-old in the right tricep.

The graze wound was non-life threatening. The 12 year old was transported to Bayonne Hospital by another family member, authorities said.
Any charges are pending at the moment and the investigation remains ongoing.
