NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The U.S. Coast Guard rescued three people from the waters of Great Bay, New Jersey, when their boat capsized on Saturday.
A Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew responded to the scene after an 18-foot boat capsized.
The investigation into the cause of the capsizing is ongoing.
The initial call for help was received by the Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay, located in Philadelphia.
As the call came, there was an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter already in the area, which was immediately redirected to the capsized boat.
The boaters who were rescued are currently in stable condition.
Their identities have not been disclosed.
