HAMILTON, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- A 51-year-old man was arrested after he was found with four pipe bombs in his car in New Jersey on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

At around 11 a.m., Hamilton officials pulled over Jeremey Giliberti in a green Honda in the vicinity of South Broad Street and Oldfield Avenue where they made the discovery.

"During the stop, the officers located four metal pipes with caps and green wicks consistent with being pipe bombs on the passenger side floor inside the vehicle," Hamilton police said.

The findings prompted the evacuation of homes and businesses in the area before the State Police's bomb squad seized the materials, removed them and disassembled them, authorities said.

Officials obtained a search warrant and found and removed another pipe bomb Giliberti's Mount Laurel home.

Giliberti was charged with possession of a destructive device and brought to the Mercer County jail.
