NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A pair of ex-lovers were arrested for burglarizing a woman’s two homes in Long Island and Manhattan making off with more than $1 million in cash, guns, wine and other valuables, authorities said Tuesday.
The duo, Raymond Bouderau, 49, of Manhattan and Jacqueline Jewett, 57, of Connecticut, had previously dated and teamed up again to rob a woman, who is dating Jewett's ex-secret lover, while she was away on vacation.
“Life is not like the movies. These defendants thought it would be a good idea to pull a ‘heist’ wherein they secretly gathered criminal intelligence about their wealthy target, orchestrated unlawful intrusions into two locations and made off with well over a million dollars in proceeds,” said D.A. Raymond Tierney, who credited local, county and state authorities for the arrests.

Cops were called to the woman’s Sag Harbor home on Sept. 27 after she returned from being away to find her house had been ransacked. Officers found a point of forced entry from a basement window and also saw that electricity had been cut in portions from circuit breakers being flipped off.
The woman, along with police, determined that more than $1 million in cash, jewelry, wine, firearms and other valuables had been stolen. Her other Manhattan residence was also burglarized on the same day, according to officials.

Investigators later found that Jewett used her ex’s Apple iCould data to get information on their victim like what sorts of valuables she had in her home and when she would be away on vacation. She used the information to plan the burglaries. Jewett’s iCould data also revealed text messages with Bouderau coordinating the plan.
Surveillance images of both burglary locations showed images of a truck registered in Bouderau’s name at both locations when the robbery took place. Other surveillance video captured Bouderau and another person carrying items stolen from the woman’s Long Island house into his Manhattan home.
Police searched Bouderau’s home on November 30 and found many items taken from the victim’s homes including an AR-15 rifle and a lot of stolen wine. Ketamine was also found in the residence. That same day, Jewett admitted to her role in the burglaries.

Both Bouderau and Jewett were arrested and charged with grand larceny and burglary. Bouderau was also charged with conspiracy.
Bouderau is being held without bail while Jewett’s bail was set at $200,000 cash.
