HACKENSACK, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A New Jersey man who worked as a weekend supervisor at a treatment center for children was arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulting a child, prosecutors say.
Garry Rucker Jr., 31, of Hackensack, was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault by contact and second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor on Friday, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said Monday.
Prosecutors say Rucker was working as a weekend supervisor at a treatment center for children in Hackensack on June 19 when he "engaged in sexual conduct, including sexual penetration of a child who was under the age of 13."
After Rucker was accused, he left the center and never returned, according to prosecutors. The prosecutor's office didn't say which treatment center Rucker worked at.
Rucker is currently being held at the Bergen County Jail, the prosecutor's office said. His attorney information wasn't immediately available Tuesday.
