Father-son duo responsible for robbing 57 Walmart, Sam's Club stores across NJ, 3 other states

TILDEN, Pa. (1010 WINS) — A father-son duo working alongside an unidentified suspect have robbed or attempted to rob 57 Walmart and Sam’s Club stores across New Jersey and three other states, according to the Tilden, Pennsylvania police department.

Jahmir Mitchell, 24, was arrested in Philadelphia on Wednesday. Police are still searching for his father, 42-year-old Jamaal Mitchell, who is considered armed and dangerous.

A third suspect has not been identified.

The trio have robbed stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.

The robbers have brandished guns at employees who try to intervene in the robberies.

They’ve been using a black Jeep Cherokee as their getaway vehicle while switching between two sets of plates — New Jersey L87PTP and Delaware plate 299336.

Police charged the younger Mitchell with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, making terroristic threats, assault and reckless endangerment.
