Based out of Engine Co. 282 in Borough Park, Brooklyn, 43-year-old Muhammad S. Iftikhar, was taken into custody on Feb. 8 after a search warrant was executed at his home in Goshen by state troopers, Homeland Security and US Postal Inspection Service investigators, officials said.

Over 50 grams of anabolic steroids, and over 20 grams of ecstasy, or MDMA were seized in the home, the state police said.

The FDNY placed Iftikhar on a 30-day suspension without pay according to an internal department order The Post obtained.

Public records show Iftikhar was promoted to lieutenant in July of 2013 and became captain in 2018 with his most recent pay topping $200,000 per year, according to seethroughny.

A source told The Post that Iftikhar was in line for bigger things and eligible for promotion to battalion chief.

Iftikhar was charged with multiple felonies including criminal possession of controlled substances and intent to sell.

Also arrested in the home was 39-year-old Maria Younis who was issued a ticket for 7th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, state police said.
