JERSEY CITY, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Officials arrested and charged a 13-year-old girl in the fatal shooting of a man in New Jersey earlier this month.
Jersey City police responded to a shooting on Dec. 10, near Martin Luther King Drive and Wilkinson Avenue where they discovered 35-year-old Niles Holmes with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
Holmes was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Moments later, police found a 24-year-old man with two graze wounds to his arm.
He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Jersey City Medical, officials said.
Hudson County Prosecutor's Office on Friday announced the teen had been arrested the previous day.
The teen was charged as juvenile with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a minor.
