NEW JERSEY (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Jerry Seinfeld hinted at the possibility of a second ending for "Seinfeld" during a stand-up show over the weekend in Boston, more than two decades after the show's original finale aired.
During a stand-up show in Boston on Saturday, Seinfeld was asked about the ending of "Seinfeld," and he playfully hinted that he has a "little secret" related to it.
“Here is what I’ll tell you but you can’t tell anybody,” Seinfeld said in a video shared on social media. “ Something is going to happen that has to do with that ending. It hasn’t happened yet. Just what you are thinking about, Larry [David] and I have also been thinking about. So, you’ll see.”
The original "Seinfeld" finale, which saw Jerry, Elaine, George, and Kramer getting arrested and incarcerated, drew over 76 million viewers during its live broadcast, becoming one of the most-watched television events in history.
However, it received mixed reviews, with Seinfeld himself expressing regret about the ending in the years that followed.
