NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — John Legend is coming to New York City Memorial Day weekend for a one-night performance to honor military heroes, the New York Post reported.

The 12-time Grammy winner will take the stage at the UBS Arena in Elmont along with Jason Derulo making an appearance, sources told the Post.
Derulo will open the benefit concert at 8 p.m. followed by Legend soon after.
The performances are apart of Northwell Health’s “Side by Side” music series which is an annual tribute to veterans, military personnel and their families.
Festivities will begin May 28 with a block party at Flatiron Plaza from noon to 6 p.m. with free admission hosted by “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’s” Alfonso Riberio.
According to the Post, the block party will feature games, a food festival and musical guests with special appearances by Questlove, Broadway stars and the Northwell Health Nurse Choir.
Concert tickets will go on sale Friday via Ticketmaster with all of the proceeds benefiting Northwell Health’s military programs.
