STAMFORD, Conn. (WCBS 880) -- Gov. Ned Lamont is recovering after undergoing a hip replacement surgery Wednesday morning.
Communications Director Mex Reiss said that Lamont underwent the procedure at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Stamford and is now recovering at home.
Lamont, 68, had a similar procedure done on his other hip almost exactly one year ago, according to Reiss.
Lamont's medical team said the governor is now on track for a "speedy recovery" and will work remotely while he recovers.
