GLEN COVE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A 26-year-old construction worker died after falling through the roof at a job site in Glen Cove on Friday, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
Noe Diaz-Gomez was working on the roof of a commercial building on Garvies Point Road, a dead end that runs along Glen Cove creek, when he fell through to the ground around 11:50 a.m., officials said.
The construction worker suffered severe head trauma, and emergency responders airlifted him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Nassau County Police Department is investigating the death, but have not yet announced any indication of criminality.
