ROCKY POINT, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A 30-year-old Rocky Point man was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for the murder of a 34-year-old man during a botched drug deal last year, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.
A jury convicted Glenn Seejattan of fatally shooting Justin Lee, who was found half-naked and frozen with two gunshot wounds near his mother’s house after he was reported missing in January 2022.
A witness testified that Seejattan told him he killed someone during a botched drug deal.
Prosecutors also used electronic surveillance and DNA evidence to secure the conviction.
“This sentence is the price the defendant must pay for taking the life of another human being,” said Suffolk County DA Raymond Tierney. “This outcome provides a small measure of justice for the victim and his family, although this defendant will get to serve his sentence in prison while the victim will never see his family and loved ones again.”
