SYOSSET, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — Nassau County Police are investigating after two teen boys were attacked and had their heads shaved in an unusual robbery on Long Island Friday evening.
The victims, two 17-year-old boys, were at Crocus Drive Playground in Syosset at about 5:30 p.m. when a group of three other teens arrived. Police said that the meeting was prearranged.
The trio forcibly grabbed the victims and threw them to the ground and punched them repeatedly, officials said. Once down, they taped the victims' mouths shut and began shaving their heads.
Police said that the assailants took various items from the victims' pockets and then fled the scene.
An investigation led officers to the three alleged attackers, and they were placed under arrest without incident, authorities said.
The three teens—whose identities are not being released due to their age—are charged with second-degree robbery, third-degree assault and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.
They were arraigned on Saturday at First District Court-Adolescent Offender Part in Hempstead.
