
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — One person was killed and a firefighter was injured at a house fire in the Bronx on Friday afternoon, the FDNY said.
Fire officials received a call reporting the blaze at 2533 Grand Ave., in the University Heights section of the Bronx, at 2:08 p.m.
The fire was reported on the second floor of the three-story home, but it extended onto the third floor, officials said.


Video from Citizen App shows firetruck ladders leading into the house's front windows, and firefighters setting ladders up against upper-story windows on the side of the house.
Orange flames can be seen burning as gray smoke billows out of the home.

One person was killed in the flames. The victim's identity has yet to be released.
One firefighter sustained minor injuries during the FDNY response.
Firefighters were still working to get the fire under control on Friday afternoon.
It is unclear how the fire began.
