NEW YORK (1010 WINS) 1010 WINS is ready to party in Union Square Park, Sunday June 4, noon to 6pm along with Petco and Petco Love!
Paws In The Park, the first mega pet adoption event since the Covid crisis, takes place at the north end of Union Square, with 400 adoptable dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs available from more than 20 local rescue organizations including Animal Care Centers of New York, Muddy Paws Rescue, Advocat Rescue, Bideawee, Kitty Kind, Second Chance Rescue and more.
"It's been a long time, but we are so excited to be back in Union Square Park," Petco Love President Susanne Kogut told 1010 WINS, "This is just what we need."
1010 WINS is an official media partner for Paws In The Park, with Morning Anchor Susan Richard serving as co-emcee along with Rapper Zeale, who's also known for his hosting work with the San Antonio Spurs.

Family activities include face painting, a giant interactive mural with artist Andrea Caceres, an Instagramable NYC-themed dog agility course, hourly performances from Must Love Dogs and Comedy, along with giveaways and free stuff in the 1010 WINS booth. (Hey, we're talking 1010 WINS magnets and Audacy chapstick, so don't miss out on that!)
In the 1pm hour, 1010 WINS Midday Anchor Lynda Lopez and Afternoon Drive's Larry Mullins will take part in a special adoptable Pet Fashion show presented by Bob's from Skechers, along with other guests including Mutts Comic Strip creator Patrick McDonnell.

Paws In The Park also marks the grand opening of Petco's new location at 44 Union Square, the old Tammany Hall building on the corner of 17th and Park Avenue. Pet adopters will be able to learn from companion animal experts including dog trainers and groomers, as well as attend cooking demonstrations from Just Food For Dogs.
Paws In The Park happens 6/4, noon to 6, rain or shine.
