NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced the indictment of 12 alleged members of the "Floss Money Ballers" gang, who are accused of driving a year-long spree of violent crime in Southeast Queens.
The defendants, ages 18 to 26, face charges including attempted murder, criminal use of a firearm, and conspiracy. They stem from a turf war with a rival gang, Blitz Gang 4 (BG4), that escalated into about 10 different shootings since late 2024.
The conflict intensified after an 18-year-old Floss Money Ballers member, Akim Cisse, was murdered in September 2024 by a BG4 associate, Katz said,
The Floss Money Ballers allegedly retaliated just hours later, spraying bullets into a rival's home. Other violent incidents outlined in indictment include a May 2025 shooting where a rival was shot while helping his grandmother on Mother's Day, as well as the recovery of a 9mm handgun with a modification to turn it into a machine gun.
This action follows a similar gang takedown in March 2023 that dismantled the "Money World" gang, from which the Floss Money Ballers allegedly emerged.
All 12 defendants have been arraigned, with eight arrested recently and four already in custody on other charges, Katz said.
If convicted of the most serious charges, they face up to 25 years in prison.
