NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 13-year-old boy was arrested in connection to a double shooting in the Bronx last month that left a man dead and a woman hospitalized, police said Wednesday.

The teen was arrested for the murder of 28-year-old Daoud Marji, a Yonkers resident. Marji was outside a deli located at 2690 University Ave. in Kingsbridge Heights at about 5 p.m. on April 23 when he was shot in the head, officials said.

EMS responded and transported Marji to Saint Barnabas Hospital in critical condition, but he could not be saved.

Responding officers were also alerted to a second shooting victim, a 33-year-old woman who was hit in the left hip. She was transported by private means to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull where she was listed in stable condition, authorities said.

The circumstances that led to the shooting remain unclear.
