NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A transport van crashed into a tree in Brooklyn Monday morning, injuring over a dozen people, authorities said.

Just before 9:20 a.m., police received a call of a of bus hitting a tree at 17th Avenue and Cropsey Avenue in Bath Beach.

There were 14 people transported to NYU Langone – Brooklyn. There were no serious injuries.

According to officials, the 44-year-old minivan driver, which was operated by D & J Ambulette Services, struck the tree on Cropsey Avenue after he swerved to avoid striking another car.

The tree will removed by the New York City Parks Department.
