NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 14-year-old girl was stabbed in the neck in Bensonhurst Friday afternoon and police arrested a suspect Saturday morning, officials confirmed.
Jianquan Li, 21, of Bensonhurst, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. Saturday morning and charged with assault, according to the NYPD.
The teen was stabbed at 8001 New Utrecht Avenue at around 3 p.m. Friday, police said.
A witness told 1010 WINS/WCBS 880 that the stabbing was preceded by an argument between the victim and assailant.
EMS rushed the victim to Maimonides Medical Center and she is in stable condition, authorities said.
