NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two people have died from a carbon monoxide incident in Brooklyn, the FDNY said Monday night.
At 7:40 p.m. the FDNY responded to reports of cardiac arrest at an Avenue O address in Bensonhurst. After arriving at the address, the FDNY "determined this was carbon monoxide related," it said in a statement. "As a result the call type was upgraded to a Hazardous Materials Incident."
In addition to the two deceased individuals, four others were injured. Those four were treated at the scene and refused to be taken to the hospital.
The cause of the incident is under investigation and units are still at the scene.
