NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two sisters, 6 and 8, were struck by a car as they walked in the middle of the street with their mom in Brooklyn on Monday afternoon, police said.

It happened around 2:15 p.m. at 57th Street and 7th Avenue in Sunset Park.

Police said both girls were hospitalized in critical, but stable condition.

The 41-year-old driver remained at the scene. He has not been charged.

An investigation is ongoing.
